Alongside my undying love for chicory coffee and reading high-fashion magazines, I’ve always been obsessed with storytelling. Once upon a time, I channeled that passion into dance (my dream was to tour with Prince) but then photography waltzed into my life. My mama, forever my cheerleader, told me to follow my purpose, no matter where it takes me. So I took the leap, and here we are!

During a period of deep personal loss, I discovered the incredible power of photography to freeze time and preserve life’s most cherished memories. That’s why, for me, photography is more than just a profession; it's a way to create a beautiful life while documenting yours.

I believe that the art of capturing an image and the craft of bringing it to life through editing are inseparable. Each image I create is infused with the emotion of the moment it was captured. That's why I personally edit all my photographs. It's a rarity in our industry today, but to me, it's essential. The emotions, the atmosphere, the fleeting glances – all these elements are part of the story that I strive to tell in every image.
Whether it's an elaborate wedding, a family portrait, or a simple birthday celebration, my goal is always the same: to freeze those fleeting moments in time, to create a tangible reminder of life's preciousness.
In photography, I found my solace and my strength. It became my way of freezing time, of capturing the ephemeral beauty of life that we so often take for granted. To me, photography is more than just a profession; it is a heartfelt passion and a personal journey. As a photographer, I see myself not just as the 'hired help' but as an artist, a storyteller, and a guardian of memories. Each photograph I take is a piece of a larger narrative, one that I am both honored and humbled to tell. My approach to photography is holistic – from the initial consultation to the final shot and through every step of the editing process.
My path to becoming a Louisiana photographer was born from profound personal experiences. The loss of my son at birth was a defining moment, forever altering my understanding of life's fragility. This heartache was compounded when I lost my mother to ovarian cancer at the young age of 56. These losses reshaped my perspective on life – they taught me the importance of embracing every moment, of holding onto the now before it slips away.
